This election is about 2 issues
1. Marriage. Homosexual activists - not the typical homosexual, I expect,
but the strident extremists who share the same ideological secular humanist
foundation as the leadership of the Liberal party and other members of
Canada's establishment - are marketing the DEATH of Canadian civilisation by
advocating a change in the legal definition of marriage. Not one advocate of
this change throughout this country or even the United States has produced a
credible argument to show how this change can be made for homosexuals
without also opening the door to polygamy or incestuous "marriage". In fact,
advocates of those positions are already using the same arguments to back
their agendas. Advocates of marriage redefinition are good at mocking their
critics and making them feel stupid. You may not feel comfortable publicly
defending your belief in the traditional definition of marriage, but in the
privacy of the polling booth, make sure you vote your conscience and keep
Don Boudria - who betrayed his constituents and the Catholic faith he
professes when he voted against a Canadian Alliance motion in the House of
Commons to preserve the historic, Christian definition of marriage -
from being re-elected to represent this riding.
2. Democratic liberty does not exist without freedom of speech. A leading
policy of the last Liberal government was the extermination of the freedom
of speech. Don Boudria utterly despises freedom of speech. He was a Cabinet
Minister under Jean Chretien's leadership. In fact, he was the Whip of the
Party for much, if not most, of the time, enforcing party policy over MPs'
consciences for votes on legislation. He helped to drive through Parliament
a vile piece of legislation that changed Canada's election laws to, among
other things, limit the amount of spending that individual Canadians and
organised groups can spend getting their message out during an election.
Rightly called the Election Gag Law by critics, a group called the National
Citizens' Coalition challenged the constitutionality of the law in court.
Lower courts ruled in favour of the NCC, recognising the unconstitutional
and anti-democratic nature of this law's attack on speech freedom.
Unfortunely, the left-wing radicals of the Supreme Court of Canada finally
ruled in favour of this terrible piece of legislation.
The Liberal government also essentially adopted as its own, Bill C-250, one
of the most bigoted, anti-democratic and legally flawed pieces of
legislation ever to come before Parliament. The bill was introduced by NDP
MP Svend Robinson, but the Liberal government decided to support it. The
bill adds "sexual orientation" to hate crime legislation, supposedly to
protect homosexuals from hate crimes. There are many problems with this
bill, but the most important thing to note is that homosexual activists, a
long time ago, redefined hate so that the term could be used to label even
the most benign expressions of simple criticism of homosexuality. A
Senator - not a hockey player, but a member of Canada's Parliament - called
another Senator hateful for advocating the traditional definition of
marriage. Due to the nature of Bill C-250, it is in fact a clear and direct
attack on four constitutionally protected rights: the freedom of speech, the
freedom of conscience, the freedom of religion and the freedom of peaceful
assembly. Don Boudria completely disqualified himself from being a
legitimate representative of the civil, freedom-loving, patriotic Canadians
who live in this riding of Glengarry-Prescott-Russell when he voted in
favour of Bill C-250.
